"Revisit the Red Car"  Mural Project
Above photograph will be the basis of the proposed mural
Since our Sept. 10th fundraiser FAV board members have been networking with other experienced community
members  to get some direction on how to navigate the process we will have to go though to put the Red Car
mural on the cement pylon on the L. A. River right where the Red Car ran across. The site sits on the River walk
where you can enter from the Hyperion Bridge onto the river going toward Fletcher right in front of the rock work
and native plants that North East Trees planted a few years back.  As you exit the 5 freeway north on the
Glendale Bl off ramp if you look straight across the river you will see the cement pylon that's constantly tagged
and that's  where we'd like to put the Red Car mural. Our thought is to not only abate the graffiti but it would also
mark an entry way to our community and at the same time commemorate history. The site is in dire need of a
clean up and the plants need to be trimmed and big time graffiti removal from the river rocks but with the mural
and a clean  up we can reclaim the pocket park .
