GARCETTI SWORN IN FOR THIRD TERM
Los Angeles City Council President Eric Garcetti (CD13) was sworn in for a third term this week. More than 300 community members attended the ceremony at Los Angeles City College in East Hollywood.
"In this start of my third term, I recommit to serving you with the drive and tenacity I see everyday in the Angelenos working to keep the American Dream alive for the next generation," said Council President Garcetti.
The ceremony included remarks from Los Angeles City College President Dr. Jamillah Moore, East Hollywood Neighborhood Council Boardmember Alfredo Hernandez, and Alliance for a Better Community Executive Director Veronica Melvin. It also included performances by American Idol Season 2 finalist Trenyce, Korean drummers, and the Belmont High School Jazz Band.
