ATWATER VILLAGE NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL (AVNC) BOARD MEMBER, LENORE SOLIS, LOSES GLENDALE CITY COUNCIL ELECTION BID

 

AVNC board member Lenore Solis loses election bid for Glendale City Council. Nevertheless Solis did attain notably more votes then her last election bid. Solis garnered 2,833 votes in this April 7th, 2009 election, placing her in the top 8 out of a total of 12 candidates. Last election, in 2007, Solis only attained 960 votes placing her in last place for that election.

Lenore Solis has resided in the City of Glendale since 1973 but operates a small interpreting, notary public and income tax business in Atwater Village -- Amador L. Solis & Associates at 3315 Glendale Blvd. 

Solis was elected to the AVNC Board in 2007 to serve as its Church / Religion Representative. Her term is scheduled to end in 2010. She has not publicly announced if she will or will not resign from her position on the AVNC Board to pursue her political interests and efforts in Glendale. Solis, along with her son Amador who also sits on the AVNC Board, has failed to attend 3 out of the 4 board meeting held so far this calendar year.
