2ND MARIJUANA DISPENSARY TO OPEN IN ATWATER VILLAGE AT STRIP MALL ON GLENDALE BLVD
A medical marijuana dispensary is planned to open in the strip mall located at the corner of Glendale Blvd and Glenhurst Ave. According to Brett Mero, the leasing agent for the managing company of the strip mall, the retail space at 3106 Glendale Blvd has already been leased to a marijuana dispensary business and will be opening soon.
Atwater Village already has one existing marijuana dispensary at 3401 Glendale Blvd, Unit B (at the corner of Revere Ave ) called LA Collective. LA Collective is currently under scrutiny from City authorities as a result of numerous complaints from local residents that visitors to the marijuana dispensary are smoking their purchases in public view, often in parked cars next to the public library which is across from the dispensary on the corner of Glendale Boulevard and Revere Ave or the alleyways behind both the library and the dispensary.
It is not know if the new marijuana dispensary will create similar problems like those caused by the dispensary at 3401 Glendale Blvd.
