ATWATER VILLAGE GETS NEW FIELD DEPUTY FROM L.A. COUNCIL DISTRICT 13
From Arsen Melikyan, Atwater's new Field Deputy:
As a 6 year veteran of the Los Angeles Council President Eric Garcetti's field office, I am very excited to begin my new role as Field Deputy for the Atwater Village community.
I began in the office as an intern and was soon hired as the Receptionist. After 2 years, I was promoted to Caseworker for the Hollywood, East Hollywood, and Silver Lake communities. Today, in addition to serving as Field Deputy, I also serve as the Special Events Coordinator for the whole district.
Being a Council District 13 native, it is especially rewarding to improve the community that I call home. I was raised in Little Armenia, graduated from Hollywood High School and the Academy Pacific Travel and Business College, and am continuing my education at Los Angeles City College -- all located in Council District 13.
Lastly, I am married to amazing women, Ripsime Ter-Galstyan, and am a proud father to a wonderful 8 month old boy named Sonny. On my free time I practice on the flamenco guitar and enjoy training my German Shepard in schutzhund.
