Thank You….. Thank You…….Thank You!!!!
As many of you know we have had a canned food drive for the past month. I personally was hoping to gather 2000 food items. Well, once again, the kindness of others has surpassed all of my expectations. The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank picked up our haul today. Wow, 3,852 food items, weighing 2,763 pounds. Over a ton of food!!!
I would like to give a shout out to some super angels:
Iris Acosta Lopez, made the kick off party a success by donating 1,000 cans of food.
Mathalyn Cox, my mother in law, (Fresno) 100 cans.
Arturo and Julie Martinez, 200 cans.
Mindy and her mom Melodie came in, week after week, with more stuff.
Norm and Leona Barker donated bags of cans before I even printed the flyers.
Romi Rios made a special Costco run just for us.
Barbara Lass, I guess cans were not enough, she threw in a check. Thank you.
Betty Barlotta, my tart tongued storyteller. Thanks again.
Soni Fields, who never says no.

So many friends that I just can’t list, but I hope they know how grateful I am.
On a personal note, I don’t know what my life would be like without my wife Patti: I come up with these hair brained ideas and she always says, “ I’m sure you can do that and more.”
My mom, who always encourages my good behavior and ignores all my faults.
My dearest friend Arpy,. who is always first in line to say, “count me in;” and who navigates the Internet much better than I.
My cousin Julie, who is living proof that angels live amongst us.
Once again thank you all. We did a great thing in 2008, and I am sure I will annoy you again some how, some way, in 2009. But I promise it will be for a good cause.
