ATWATER VILLAGE NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL (AVNC) BOARD MEMBER IS A CANDIDATE FOR THE GLENDALE CITY COUNCIL APRIL 2009 ELECTION

 

AVNC Board Member Lenore Solis has announced her intention to run as a candidate for the Glendale City Council in its April 2009 election. This will be her 2nd attempt to capture a seat on the Glendale City Council. Click here for Solis's election website.

 

Solis does not live in Atwater Village.  She has resided in the City of Glendale since 1973 but operates a small interpreting, notary public and income tax business in Atwater Village -- Amador L. Solis & Associates at 3315 Glendale Blvd.

 

Solis was elected to the AVNC Board in 2007 to serve as its Church / Religion Representative. Her term is scheduled to end in 2010 which would run concurrently with her term on the Glendale City Council should she be elected.

Solis has not publicly announced if she will or will not resign from her position on the AVNC Board to pursue her political interests and efforts in Glendale.

Solis was also recently featured in the Los Angeles Times article "Peace and love cause a big stir in Atwater Village".
