ABOUT NEIGHBORHOOD NURSERY SCHOOL
The Neighborhood Nursery School has been serving young Los Angeles Families for half a century beginning in 1952. The school is located on the North end of the Silver Lake Reservoir. It is a non-profit cooperative owned and operated by the parents of it’s students.
Parents work as teaching assistants in conjunction with the long standing certified teachers. They maintain the buildings and grounds, and organize fund raisers including the January Art Show at Barnsdall Art Park and the AnnualSpring Fair which has become an Eastside and Silverlake community tradition.
The curriculum is designed to help children ages 3 to
5 to become enthusiastic learners, active and creative explorers not just in preschool but throughout their lives.
